CMS Collaborative has always helped to nurture the architectural sensibilities of water design, while advancing the state of the art in
regard to technology and long-term sustainability. Virtually all older installations designed by CMS are still in operation.

CMS never imposes proprietary conceptual design on a project. At our clients’ request, we offer initial conceptual design assistance ranging
from the refinement of established parameters to complete participation. Because we act exclusively as a fountain design consultant, CMS is a dedicated advocate for architects and their clients.

For many years, we have shared ideas and experiences with our clients
and industry peers. We believe this approach has ultimately helped to educate ourselves, architectural designers, and to raise standards of performance within the fountain industry. To this end, Richard Chaix lectured at numerous universities and workshops, and for several years taught a summer short-course in fountain design at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
